No. I had a cheep one that took crappy video. Haven't replaced it.

Though, everybody should have one.

The best dashcam I’ve ever had is the Garmin. It is literally plug and play. You install it and turn on your car and the thing works. No messing around with all sorts of incomprehensible settings and instructions written in “Ingrish”...the things just WORK.

I’ve got one in both cars facing front and will soon enough be installing rear facing cameras as well.

The three I see most on the dash cam videos are Garmin, Rexing, and Nextbase. There are others, but they don't show up as often. The best ones will have both a front-facing and rear-facing camera. These will help with the tailgaters/rear collisions. In this Vet's case, it would have shown the cop prior to his 360-degree turn and his colliding with the Vet's car. Some even have a shock sensor and auto save to the cloud. They start around $100 and go up.
