“Zero anxiety here in North Idaho.”

Same here in the SW corner of Wisconsin. Go ONE county over though, and they’re still all masked up and wringing their hands. No one smiles. They’re all friggin’ ZOMBIES!

How DOES that pesky virus KNOW where the County Line are? *SNORT*

21 ‘covid’ deaths in my county; all old folks with comorbidities, IN THE PAST TWO YEARS! And I don’t even believe THAT number!

Wisconsin has 583 car accident deaths every year, so about 2 per day. All year. Every year, pretty much. And vehicle deaths ARE 100% preventable - just don’t get in your car or ride with anyone else. And don’t play in the road! ;)

You’re more likely to get gored by a bull, thrown from your horse, kicked by your mule, trampled by a cow or die in a pickup truck crash, than die from CovidBS-19.

It’s COMPLETE, man-made, Socialist Democrat-manufactured INSANITY! I’m SO bloody SICK of it!

How does your county population compare with that one?

kicked by your mule

My last date LOOKED like a mule. Threatened to kick me, too. Does that count? Heh. :-)

Out here in the more rural parts of OK, things have always been more or less normal. Even in the OKC Metro area (although you'll see the cars of sheep lined up as far as the eye can see at the parking-lot CV-BS "testing" kiosks), once you're inside the grocery store, hardware store, etc., about 85%-90% of people are maskless. AND, the annoying intercom announcements to "be sure & practith thafe thothial dithtanthing" are rarely heard.

OK has its faults, but right now, I'm pleased as punch to be where I am.

Idaho has had 4,100 “COVID-RELATED Deaths.” 3,600 were over 60 years of age and 500 below 60. Median age of deaths has been hovering around 75 years from the start. Twice we peaked at 80 cases per 100,000. Right now we have 20 cases per 100,000 — in the dead of winter, cold, snow, and no sunshine! Our county has 170,000 people. That means we have 34 cases in the county now. What are the odds that you will run into one of those 34 people? 30 miles to the west is the Washington State line where big time fear and crackdowns reign. It is insane.

Ditto here in SE Virginia. Here in conservative Gloucester County, most folks are unmasked and enjoying the daily routines.

So far the symptoms here at the MA/RI border are mild, but they’re EVERYWHERE! People who HAD BEEN ultra careful, seem to now emotionally need to return to normal. My niece is 62 and had been ultra paranoid about shots, etc. She just hosted a Christmas dinner. She has the new omicron, as does her husband and at least one of her kids. The other kids may be past it now.

I’m 77, husband 79, both with the health problems that would not play nice with the original Wuhan flu. Because we don’t know if the omicron can lead to long covid problems, we’re still being ultra cautious and seem to be one of the last couples around here who DON’T have it.
