The vaccines cannot prevent infection. They cannot prevent transmission. They cannot prevent hospitalization. They cannot prevent death. Perhaps mitigate some, but worth the risk?
Of the 12 people in my family who had it, tested positive, including my own son, 2 died. Both elderly. I would absolutely say that the elderly and vulnerable would be well advised to consider it. I had my mother do it. She is here, her unvaccinated brother is not due to COVID. He had the kindest heart of all my living kin outside of my family.
