I think the reason there will be so many, many people martyred/beheaded for their faith during the Tribulation is that there are so many now who are denying reality.
When the church is raptured and the antichrist is revealed and demands worship they will see the light and no longer lie to themselves about what is going on. They will have their come to Jesus or Damascus Road experience. Everything will suddenly fall into place and they will be able to honestly assess their circumstances.
Because of our witness now they will be able to see truth then.
Thankfully there are also those who, because of our witness now, are being saved now, and will joyfully escape the coming wrath.
