haha, good luck with all that.....same thing as EV’s in general, when they get the same mpgs, and performance as consistently as regulr gas powered vehicles...let me know.
I too have doubts about the cncept of electric cars.
But look at our lives today. Almost everything is battery powered on some level. Obviously our cell phones, our I-pads, our vacuum cleaners.....almost all electric things now run on batteries for some period of time and the length of battery time increases.
As for a car, I would be game. Come home, park in the driveway, plug it in to charge, leave it charging all night.
I do believe it will be the norm within the next five years I predict.
Electric cars have way more “MPG” than gasoline cars. The Problem is the Batteries have too little “G”.
A Tesla battery that gives more than 200 mile of range only has the equivalent energy of a couple gallons of gas.
Agreed. People who buy an ev are just virue signalling that they think they are better than everyone else.

Since you asked…they do right now. BUT only for relatively short distances of about 100 miles per day on a daily basis. Of course, a more expensive long range battery will increase that number but the bang for the buck isn’t there.
Add the convenience of home charging and practically zero maintenance and they are fine commuter cars. Nothing more than that, though, unless you start banging a square peg into a round hole.
EV is about govt control. when they control the power grid, they control you Climate lockdowns and power shutdowns will come and you won’t be able to go anywhere
