You obviously don’t live where there are hills. My town bought electric buses, and had to change the routes to avoid hills, as they would only go about 5 MPH uphills. Then of course the added cost, and quick replacement of each one. Better though, is the electric powered ferry boats, that are running on batteries charged by diesel engines. I wonder what will happen if the salt water comes into contact with the batteries and motors, like when happens in storms, wrecks or over time with the hulls begin leaking.

Why on earth were those buses bought in the first place? Sounds like a motor problem, not a battery problem.
