perhaps put a sticky trap or two around with a little bit of sugar.....
Thanks for all of the GREAT ideas!
My asthma and harsh chemicals will never get along. I have come up with a plan that uses most of these ideas.
I use a spray in the house called Home Defense to kill those ladybugs that aren’t ladybugs. We are swarmed with them twice a year and this stuff kills them. It’s also pet safe after it dries and has no odor. I keep a couple of those sticky pad flea traps with the light out in the house all year to catch any stray bugs and because with three house dogs they give me a head’s up if anybody has fleas. They also make great night lights.
I’m going to get another gallon of the spray and a couple packs of sticky traps for spiders. I’ll spray the inside of the car, put the traps under the seats and other dark places, and add some essential oil cloths all around inside it too. My son-in-law is going to remove the cabin air filter and spray it with essential oil. Even if it doesn’t repel spiders, it will make the car smell good. :-)
It’s a late model (2019) Chevrolet Equinox so I don’t want to do damage but I don’t want recluses either. They mostly come out at night and I don’t drive at night so that’s probably why it’s there. I only drive to town twice a week so there will be plenty of time for the spray and traps to work.
If all that fails, we will see if we can sweet talk an exterminator that treats houses to treat the car.
