I arrived at MSY last night, and listening to 1150 AM WJBO in Baton Rouge now. Just heard a rather profound and sincere apology / clarification from someone involved in the Salvation Army regarding their anti-white nonsense.
On a scale of 1 to 10 as far as how well he addressed the wrongs of that racist bullshite, I would rate it a 6 at best. I am not asking anyone to change their minds, but wanted to know if y'all heard it?
I am waiting for them to announce they have eliminated their Grand Poobah of Diversity and Inclusion before I drop another buck in the bucket, but the apology was a step in that direction.
Yes, it hurts those the SA *used to* serve.
The crime is that the socialists win. They want to end all charities. They believe all largess should come from the government.
By letting bastards like the Munns into the organization in the first place, then allowing them to reach the influential position they now hold and finally endorsing their subversive message, the SA has committed suicide!
I can’t see any way the SA can regain the trust and love this nation once had for it and its mission. It is gone...done...and the true crime will be done to those who might have been helped had the SA only stuck to its original mission.
Truly sad.

Next year, we’re back on.
I usually give them significant contributions several times a year and have for decades; they used to be one of the few true Christian charities. Not a penny this year and perhaps never again unless they disband the Social Justice office they have created and remove the officers associated with it.
It goes back farther than this.
In 2017 the SA joined the mob pulling out of a Florida fund raising event because.......TRUMP!!!
(the event was at Mar a Lago and Trump was a “racist”)

I have donated over $20,000 and three old but still-running cars with a Blue Book value of about $15,000 to the Salvation Army over the years.
NO MORE. NADA MAS. NEVER AGAIN. At least not until the entire leadership resigns in disgrace and apologizes to me.
There are other ostensibly Christian humanitarian charities that don’t insult me.

I went to Publix a couple days ago and there were a couple SA bell ringers there and I told them that their rep these days is not good and they said they didn’t know what I was talking about and they were volunteers from the Kiwanas Club. I thought it was rather interesting.

There are a lot of good charities that help people in need. Choose some other ones and carry on. That’s what I’m doing.
Who really thinks you can chastise a whole population and then expect them to give you money? That’s some weird Sh*t right there.
I stood out in the cold ringing the bell. We were volunteers recruited from a local church. We never touched the money, and had no affiliation with the Salvation Army. I would relieve another volunteer, whom I most likely had never met, and be relieved in turn. I never got involved with the organization, except that I did donate to them annually, outside of my church or United Way. So don’t blame the bell ringers. My affection for the SA comes from a World War II combat vet who told me that in the Winter in Europe, the SA was on the front lines with free coffee and donuts, while the Red Cross was in the rear, and charged for donuts. That was enough for me.

Excellent choice. I point my towards my local elementary school's parents' organization. Completely local, and my daughter is the president, so I know the money goes were it's supposed to and purchases what it's supposed to. (Like wholesome library books.)
To promote a vision of justice based on the life and teaching of Jesus Christ.
Must be the fake Jesus whose big on guilt trips and more money.
The real deal is the one full of love and compassion, whose dream is to heal everyone, even (or especially) if they have no money to offer him.
But hey, there are the things of this world like electric bills and taxes. Otherwise...
