And of course, other ships will develop virus problems. -Tom
we got a Alaska 10 day in June from San Francisco
I say we take off and nuke the ship from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
The outbreak on cruise ships at sea has stated and it will be interesting to see how the Lines who need money and passengers respond.
The press certainly will jump on these outbreaks. -Tom
“Cruise With 55 COVID”
Is that the 55 and over COVID cruise? I don’t think that will catch on as a marketing slogan.
Here’s my suggestion for the “Cruise Industry”:
They should advertise that all passengers will receive a complimentary, 10 day prescription of Ivermectin. The prescriptions will be dispensed upon entering international water.
They should advertise that all crew members are taking Ivermectin as a prophylactic.
Maybe Cruises to nowhere will become a major thing..
55 passengers and the rest of the ship can’t go to the scheduled ports of call..
That’s like turning the car around because one of your kids is acting up while the rest are behaving..
Cruising seems like the worst way to spend money on vacations right now

We come on the sloop John B
My grandfather and me
Around Nassau town we did roam
Drinking all night
Got into a fight
Well I feel so broke up
I want to go home
So hoist up the John B's sail
See how the mainsail sets
Call for the Captain ashore
Let me go home, let me go home
I wanna go home, yeah yeah
Well I feel so broke up
I wanna go home
The first mate he got drunk
And broke in the Cap'n's trunk
The constable had to come and take him away
Sheriff John Stone
Why don't you leave me alone, yeah yeah
Well I feel so broke up I wanna go home
So hoist up the John B's sail
See how the mainsail sets
Call for the Captain ashore
Let me go home, let me go home
I wanna go home, let me go home
Why don't you let me go home
(Hoist up the John B's sail)
Hoist up the John B
I feel so broke up I wanna go home
Let me go home
The poor cook he caught the fits
And threw away all my grits
And then he took and he ate up all of my corn
Let me go home
Why don't they let me go home
This is the worst trip I've ever been on
So hoist up the John B's sail
See how the mainsail sets
Call for the Captain ashore
Let me go home, let me go home
I wanna go home, let me go home
Why don't you let me go home
By the time Odessey of the Seas gets back to Miami there might be more than 55 Covid outbreaks.-Tom
“The day before yesterday, 18 crew members were positive, yesterday 36 and this morning there were 51. In addition, several crew members have not been quarantined, so there is a good chance that passengers have also been infected,” said Gerstenbluth.”
“Close contacts were also identified and placed in quarantine”
sounds like fun: hundreds of NON-SICK contactee cruisers “quarantined” in rooms the size of my bathroom ... AND who paid thousands of non-refundable dollars for such a fun and joyful experience ...
“... representing 1.1% of the onboard community,””
I have become so allergic to the word “community”!
So now a few thousand strangers on a boat for a week is a “community”?
The movies “Death Ship” with George Kennedy (pretty bad) and “Ghost Ship” with Gabriel Byrne (pretty good) come to mind.
This is such a shame. I blame Fauci for all this misery, especially after reading RFK’s book.
