The Stupid, It Burns: Recent Employer Mandates
Original Content | 12/23/2021 | By Laz A. Mataz

Saw this on Facebook:

"My employer has mandated that, if you do not get a booster shot and even if you work remotely, from home, that you must wear a mask during work hours.

Alone.

At home.

Masked.

Apparently Covid is transmitted over Ethernet cables now.

The stupid. it burns.

The way they are acting, at this point, I think they are just trolling us.

"Alright, alright, we got him to do that! Now make him strip and smear grape jelly on his body!"

Do they require zoom camera to be on all the time to make sure the masks are on?

Don't know. Perhaps they require masks to be surgically implanted.

Surely, the folks that produce the software that makes you look like a bunny or clown on video could come up with one that makes it look like you're wearing a mask.

And, yes, I said surely.

Thanks the ping on a great post. Who is that old goat, Grampa Dave?

I read an article last night about an interview with the new mayor in Boston, who got blasted when she rolled out their new mandate that patrons and employees of restaurants, fitness centers, and entertainment venues be vaxxed.

In the course of the interview, it came out that sports stars who come to town are exempt. Being the geek I am, I found the source document and, sure enough, apparently the virus is so wicked smaarht that it avoids sports and rock stars - and their retinue:

2. The following individuals are exempted from this Order, and therefore may enter a covered premises without displaying proof of vaccination, provided that such individuals wear a face mask at all times:
b. A performing artist not regularly employed by the covered entity while they are in a covered premises for purposes of performing;
c. A professional athlete/sports team who enters a covered premises as part of their regular employment for purposes of competing; and
d. An individual accompanying a performing artist or professional athlete/sports team into a covered premises as part of their regular employment so long as the performing artist or professional athlete/sports team are performing or competing in the covered premises.

In truth, this seems modeled after the NYC mandate, because the Manhattan variant ALSO magically doesn’t infect sports and rock stars just passing through.

As Grampa Dave said, these sorts of things demonstrate that none of this, is about health.

Many years ago when the internet was accessed mostly by modems I had a customer get written up (security violation) by state auditors because my customer had a modem plugged into their main computer. The modem was unplugged from the wall and connectivity was only allowed after phoning in to get the modem set up.

The auditor explained that a good hacker could turn the modem on from a remote location. My customer who was a chemical engineer and very familiar with computer technology was at a complete loss for words. The stupid ...

Had a few errands to run yesterday morning and noticed I needed gas so I stopped at the Shell down the street. A guy in big F-150 was filling his tank on the other side of the island and looked over at me and asked why I wasn’t wearing a mask (he was). He started to lecture me and I burst out laughing. He asked me what I was laughing about, I said ‘oh nothing’ and walked away. he looked like he wanted to continue his rant but shut up when I walked away. His mask was only covering his mouth. Some peoples kids, lol

Much like the absurd ‘may cause Cancer’ in California warning labels that are on everything !

I'm pretty sure somewhere in CA there is a warning label cautioning you that warning labels may cause cancer.

I will offer up, not a lack of common sense but a lack of people willing to be independent from one another and trusting the government without a whole lot of thought. They DON'T want to think about anything they don't have to. Most people memorize the answers without knowing how they got the answer or where it came from.

I thank God Rickover never accepted a straight answer. You HAD to show your work. I was taught - you show proper logic and train of thought not some b.s. youade up- like mask mandates .
