The color doesn’t match the style. Now if it was the same style as the Addams Family...
This is very common in Wisconsin. I would call this a dark grey home. But we have full black homes in Wisconsin as well. I don’t think I ever saw one before moving here. Now I know of 4 in my little town, and I have seen many more in other towns.
I have to say, I don’t understand the choice.
What does anyone on the planet care what Twitter user Zillow Gone Wild thinks or does?
Yeah, they wont be tryin that sh!t in Arizona or New Mexico.
I like the architecture... Half the size of my current house, but far more “cool” looking.
....and that's why wallpaper was created! Slap it on and you're done!
Lincoln, Ill.—A recently renovated home just north of Springfield, Illinois has drawn plenty of attention on social media, along with an abundance of jokes. …Had to click the link to find that out.
Nice crib to take home the hot goth girls after the bars close...
It’s in Chi-Com Illinois. I wouldn’t own it if it were given to me.
eh.
It’s OK but not my style.
Outside- done well but doesn’t fit the aesthetic of the neighborhood and paint color doesn’t match architectural style.
Inside- done well but so dark it would seem depressing.
I hate wallpaper. My first house they put wallpaper over sheetrock with no primer. At least this house has been primed in black.
One problem is the at the baseboards making sure no black shows. Also can you wallpaper the ceiling?
The inside is a bit dark
The black should lower the heating bill on sunny days.
“The black should lower the heating bill on sunny days.”
There are a lot of cloudy days in Illinois January through March.
I have one similar in my neighborhood. It had a fire and a contractor bought it cheap and replaced the whole roof and because of water damage, the interior had to be gutted too. Since the exterior was cedar he stained it black, or very dark grey but the new roof is white. It’s not dark inside but has greyscale colors and lots of LED lighting. The very open floorplan will only appeal to a subset of buyers, but it’s pretty cool I think.
It is awesome!
A shame it’s not in Texas.
Good layout and the inside is a dream!
Any house would look great with that in the garage!
