Despite having been burned by a guide urging Whites to repent for systemic racism, the Salvation Army is again dipping into Critical Race Theory.
The Salvation Army, despite having faced a massive backlash because of November’s “Let’s Talk About Racism” guide, doesn’t seem to have learned its lesson. It’s now announced that, in January, it will be offering a two-day racial justice forum in Illinois. This turn to the left does not bode well for an organization that has already seen a significant drop in charitable donations since it decided to embrace leftist politics.
Since its founding in 1865, the Salvation Army has been one of the most effective charitable organizations in America. Grounded in Evangelical Christianity, its members have reached out to and helped the poor, the hungry, and the broken, both physically and spiritually. It offers salvation grounded in Christ.
However, in November, the Salvation Army issued a guidebook entitled “Let’s Talk About Racism,” which seemed to be trying to shift its salvation focus from Christ to Critical Race Theory. The pushback was so great that the Salvation Army pulled the guidebook. Despite having done so, though, in some regions, the Salvation Army saw a precipitous decline in both volunteers and donations.
One would think that the beat-down it took in November and December, both in terms of public opprobrium and financial losses, would have caused the Salvation Army to think twice about adding a big dollop of Marxist-inspired Critical Race Theory to its core Christianity. One would be wrong, however, to think that. Fox News reports that the Salvation Army’s Metropolitan Division is offering a two-day long racial justice forum:

Samaritan’s Purse is wonderful. So are local food banks. No more SA for this evil YT.
It’s long been my observation that the left continually looks for rich foundations and other organizations to infiltrate and control. Once there are enough of them in the hierarchy, they begin to “steer” the organization and it’s money toward the left’s favorite charity, itself. One only needs to look at the likes of the Ford Foundation, Carnegie Foundation, etc. to see what they wrought.
I don’t know where these people get the ideal that God cares about groups much less race. He is a personal God who wants a relationship with each individual person.

1. Identify a respected institution.
2. Kill it.
3. Gut it.
4. Wear its carcass as a skin suit, while demanding respect.

Hmm, beginning to think this is a planned event to take down a Christian organization.
It’s so sad that the Boy Scouts were taken down by such lunacy, and now the Salvation Army is on the road to ruin.
The left only knows how to tear down and destroy that which is faithful, beautiful, charitable, joyful, familial, wise and precious. They create nothing of value, are steeped in anger and hatred, and embrace death instead of life.
Yesterday, one of my elderly relatives sat in the car while I ran into the supermarket for a few minutes (about 15).
He had a good view of the Salvation Army kettle and was watching it - said not a single person put a single thing into the kettle - and this was during a very busy time for the market.
Any doubters now? A hidden agenda is now obvious, and there is no redeeming way back.
The Salvation Army went woke
And then they went broke
You get it. They did RATs bidding and sold their souls out. Now they are digging deeper for some RAT bailout dough. They have become an evil entity.

Just like like many corporations and govt.
IT IS NOT ABOUT INVESTORS OR CUSTOMERS.
The biggest tragedy of this is the tens of thousands in true need, who would normally be helped by the SA, will now be impacted negatively.
The SA had the love and trust of a good, giving nation.....and they threw it all away so that some of their officers could claim to be socially aware.
FOR SHAME!!!
I sincerely doubt the nation’s trust and good will can ever be regained.
The usual SA Christmas collector at my local grocery store is the loneliest guy on the planet right now. Nobody even gives their Merry Christmas wishes to him this year. I feel sorry for the guy but I think the total avoidance is necessary right now.
I do toys for tots and adapt an individual family, forget the salvation army.
I don’t remember for sure, but I think it was William Buckley, himself himself, who pointed out that any organization that is not specifically conservative will drift leftward over time.
I always liked the bells. They were something I associated with Christmas and the holiday season in general. Now I will always associate them with woke leftists.
So sad to watch another tradition die. This time by suicide.
“The salvation Army pushed away the very people who financially support them ...”
The Salvation Army declared war on the people who financially supported them.
As soon as those “very people” get the word, SA will be crushed into oblivion.
Good post.
I view it as a leftist zombie attack on an institution.
They consume it and turn it into a bloated oozing smelly mess.
If that's the case, then diversity training was probably a condition for the grant money.
