David - Direct Conversion Into Electricity: Replications

Fabrice David, Laboratoire de Recherches Associatives, France E-mail: davidfa95130@orange.fr BP 4, 95131 Franconville cedex FRANCE

The technology of "fusion diodes" was proposed several years ago to convert the energy of nuclear reactions taking place in condensed matter into electricity.

For 4 years, positive results have been obtained by several teams and patents filed.

The author summarizes this work and presents the results of his replication experiments.

Updated No Internal Trolling Rules for FR per Jim Robinson

If someone says stop, then stop. Do not enter onto a thread on a topic you don’t like just to disrupt, rattle cages, poke sticks, insult the regulars, or engage in trolling activities, etc. ~Jim Robinson

The issue isn’t whether we allow skepticism, it is whether we allow hyperskeptics and skeptopaths to ruin the scientific dialog. Such FReepers who persist in polluting these threads have been asked to leave, and we are asking that they open their own threads if they have comments.

This was also the idea proposed by Dr. Robert Bussard regarding the extraction of energy from his polywell fusion concept.

The energy levels would have been a spread, so it would have probably been difficult to get all the energy this way. More likely it would have had to have been ion charge collectors at various discrete voltage levels that could be combined into a common output.

I think Dr Pak was working on a DC transformer to address this issue.

It's been awhile since I looked in on Polywell.

Polywell is the same old High Energy Physics approach to Fusion. What they should do is confine the hydrogen inside a metallic matrix and run the same levels of Ion Beam target research. Smaller number of fusion reactions but more manageable.

DID you know a silicon based solar cell IS A DIODE?
DID you know the SUN is a nuclear reactor?
So, technically, we already have nuclear direct conversion to electricity.

Give it a break.

If they ever get this right —the cost of nuclear power will drop to sub .01...which would be revolutionary on a scale that people can’t currently comprehend.

YES I did know.

Feel free to go about generating gigantic thermal temperatures so you can harness it from 93 million miles away.

Give it a rest.

The Sun and other stars may not be “nuclear reactors”. There is an alternative cosmology, called “Electric Universe”, that theorizes that stars are anodes powered by electromagnetic currents that run throughout the universe. (Visit YouTube channel Thunderbolts Project)

I just keep thinking, if this tech was seriously threatening to the current energy industry, the people bringing it would be disappearing, or dying of fast-acting cancer, or killing themselves with two shots to the back of their heads, or driving their cars into trees at triple-digit speeds. The usual stuff, in other words.

That it’s apparently not happening, tells me the tech is probably not happening either.

The tech is tricky. That’s why it was the Who’s Who of Electrochemistry that were the first 100 replications, whereas the nuke physics guys who hadn’t touched a calorimeter since undergrad days all failed to replicate. So it became a turf war.
