From the article-
Cruises were COVID-19 hot spots at the onset of the pandemic, causing the industry to completely shut down for over a year. Many cruise lines had to take on massive debts while they were unable to make any revenue for the better part of a year.
This report will be updated.
If they admit to 43 there must be 80+ and then theres the ones who knew or suspected they had the virus and managed to sneak of the ship when they docked ...as in kept their mouths shut and covered up any cough etc and just left (and theres lots of those)
unless they tested EVERYONE beforehand and the cruise lines arent doing that to the very special and entitled vaxxed passengers ... protocols are only for the unwashed and unvaxxed rabble ...
Meanwhile there were several ships in the yellow (had cases) last week ...
48 out of over 6,000 pax. Not too shabby.
It would be interesting to know cabin locations, etc. Also interesting to know whether Omicron and whether cases remain asymptomatic or mild.
Thanks for info re Omicron being upper respiratory tract only, Mom MD. It’s still early days, but reports from the UK sound promising so far (very low hospitalization rate).
I just cancelled a seven day cruise on NCL because of their change requiring masks on board.
Cruises are a hotspot for all kinds of illnesses.
