Consider that Trump was a successful builder on the island of Manhattan in New York. Is succeeding as a builder of skyscrapers in New York City an easily accomplished feat? Are hundreds of successful builders among the millions that call New York home? Of course not. Roadblocks exist to keep the pretenders from participating in building big in New York.
It is said that New York is a town run by the Port Authority, the entity that controls transportation into, around, and out of New York. I'm a Californian, and even I know that. Unions control what happens in New York, who gets to play in New York, and they decide if you will have a tough time being successful. Corruption, graft, and political gifts go a long way in New York. The ethic of Boss Tweed has never left the city. If we understand that Trump has succeeded in the swampy underbelly of New York politics, union control, and city governance, it's because he's learned to get things done in spite of the roadblocks erected in the path of anyone wishing to play in that arena.

it’s highly doubtful the pubs will run a man who will turn 79 within four months of inauguration day, nor is it likely that the voting public will be enthusiastic about that prospect, after the ridiculous, and totally predictable meltdown of Joe Biden’s presidency...there is also the highly critical independent vote, and what they might want in a candidate is anybody’s guess, and seeing as how they dumped Trump in 2020, who knows...?
will Trump go third party...? will he want to be a kingmaker, and back a suitable candidate who can bring his competence to the fore without allowing personality to obscure the message...?

I’m told by the suburban conservative women that DeSantis could. He’s good and he’s smart. He’s well behaved.
The people who seated a guy into the White House in the 2020 election when the winner won more votes than any candidate prior, where 5 states are still under contest, they’re going to allow a legit election because DeSantis doesn’t annoy the suburban housewife. No thought about the pressure he would have to bear.

Now that wasn’t nice. There are very few advantages to getting old. Maybe one though is having made my fair share of mistakes due to passion, willingness to “cut off my nose to spite my face, etc. keep in mind that in Trump’s Art of The Deal he talks about not being an absolutist. You should read it.
One last thing for you to ponder is the Law of Unintended Consequences. Let’s say just as a classroom exercise that Trump does run and there’s a bitter hard fought primary and Trump loses. And consequently much of his constituents being pissed off stays home and doesn’t vote. What will be the fallout?
The fallout; being lots of folks not being particularly knowledgeable about the nominee’s on the down ballot tend to vote a straight party ticket. This could have dire consequences in purple states. Even in my beloved Texas which is becoming more purple by the day could go Democrat. And, if we should lose Texas we lose the whole enchilada. Suggest you mix yourself a Ranch Water and reflect on the possibilities that may play out.

Trump had his shot and blew it.
He campaigned on MAGA and then once he got to the White House, he fired all the MAGA people who got him there and surrounded himself with Javanka and The Swamp Dwellers. The waining days of his campaign he throws his "Platinum Plan" Hail Mary with a $500 billion reparation payment to blacks. Was that MAGA? And then on his way out the door he pardons Kwame Kilpatrick, Rod Blagojevich, and a whole slew of Wall Street crooks while his strongest supporters languish in solitary. More MAGA?
No thinks. I'm pulling for DeSantis but if Trump earns the nomination, (and I mean EARNS it), he'll have my vote. I'll just have to lower my expectations.
We can not depend on only President Trump. We need an army of freedom loving politicians to rise up and enter the breath President Trump created.
