ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The newly crowned Miss America has made history, becoming both the first Korean American and the first Alaskan to hold the title in the competition's 100-year history.
"I never could have imagined in a million years that I would be Miss America, let alone that I would be Miss Alaska," a beaming Emma Broyles told The Associated Press

I wouldn’t kick her outta bed for eating crackers.
The hottest woman I’ve ever seen from 15’ away was a man. It’s a slimy feeling to find out but at the time I didn’t notice.
I haven’t cared a whit about “Miss America” since they gave it to the black whore who had a literal spread in Penthouse Magazine. They took it away from her, and oh how convenient, the runner up was also black. Tell me that wasn’t rigged.
They’re all a bunch of whores, stop using “America” in the name.
You are all missing the point. There is a logic to that statement, if you would just think about it for a while.
The reverse ("... never dreamed that I would be Miss Alaska, let alone Miss America...") implies merely that she hadn't imagined being talented enough to become Miss Alaska - let along talented enough to beat out all the other 49 states.
Her statement, however, has a different implication: She is implying that becoming Miss Alaska was somehow less plausible or more ridiculous than becoming Miss America - not because the competition is harder, but because becoming Miss Alaska - for her - is somehow more incredible than becoming, say, Miss Hawaii. So she is making a statement about the STATE whose candidate she has become.
And I think that it is a very understandable viewpoint. No one would bat an eye at a semi-Asian woman being elected Miss Hawaii - where Caucasians are in the minority.

Looks like a younger version of K Harris.
Good thinking!!!
Thanks much for flipping that over with an alternate yet perfectly logical perspective.
Well, so much for an.. airtight case for a “blonde”. :)
Why else would she be there? : )
The current generations realize that they’ll never aspire to “Greatest Generation” historical achievements, so they have to make up their history out of flimsy “firsts” to have something to point back at.
Yes I tell kids the moon landing was done with slide rule calculations and equipment drawn on mylar with pencil, and fabricated by high school grads using manually operated machine tools.
Hell, these days I'm just happy a woman won.
Well, no one should bat an eye at a semi-Asian woman being elected Miss Alaska, either - because native Alaskans originated from the exact same part of the world Koreans come from. :)

........
True, white alaskans are in the majority there but they only represent 65% of the population. Not like some midwestern states that regularly elect miss usa who are non white —and usually black—but 90% of their population is white.
I am shocked they let a woman win.
I think Sweden picked picked an Ugandan immigrant. A very ugly woman too. But yeah. It will all be just a freak show as the degeneracy expands.
Well, no one should bat an eye at a semi-Asian woman being elected Miss Alaska, either.
Please, fellas, I'm not spoiling for an argument!
It's simply that, in popular imagination, an Asian-looking "Miss Hawaii" would seem much less remarkable than an Asian-looking "Miss Alaska" or, say, "Miss Iowa."
It's a stereotype - which means that it needn't, strictly speaking, be scientifically true.

Rub it in! 😀
