This is the county in FL that I grew up in and that I have moved back to when I quit the woke corporate world. Grady is my sherrif!
If the intruder were black, there would be protest.
This is exactly the way a criminal career should end.
No bail. No trial. No prison. No parole.
He'd better not come in my house, unless it's down the chimney.
But apparently not enough or not with a sufficiently large caliber gun. Another report noted that the burglar "was last reported in critical, stable condition."
First good news I have heard today.

A lot of people do not know of Florida’s history. I am an old man and I know what it was like before Disney came here. I grew up in a small town west of Orland before Highway 50 was put in.
The area south of Orlando was scrub land, and before the fence law, cattle roamed “at will”. The Florida Cracker cowboys were common sights. The biggest event of the year, other than the State Fair in Tampa, was The Silver Spurs Rodeo in Kissimmee. Kissimmee was called “Cow Town Florida.”
Just to let newcomers know that the descendants of those Florida Crackers are out there in the small towns and on the many ranches that cover Florida. If you stray very far off the tourist path you might encounter a few of them. Just remember that this is their native environment and you are the odd ball here. Mind your manners.
I’ve often thought that whenever you crossed a county, city or state line, there should be signs informing travelers that they’re entering concealed carry territory.
