One of the Sports Networks has a segment called “C’mon Man!” where they show goof-ups in the weeks sports.
Like one college game a couple weeks ago, the QB lined up behind the Right Guard instead of the Center!...............

“12-to-15 thousand miles an hour—subsonic speed”
Subsonic if traveling through the core of Jupiter, maybe.

Three years ago I took the Hawaiian Airways Boston to Honolulu and then the return Honolulu to Boston. It was at the time the longest nonstop inter US flight(11 1/2 hours going west).
On the return flight the jet stream was so strong that our flight broke the record for the fastest land to air speed record inter US for a commercial airliner. The jet stream tailwind was really cooking that day. We got back in just over 9 hours.

"NOT allowed to fly SS over the country"
The SST used to book nighttime tourist flights out of DFW Airport.
They would fly sonic over the Gulf of Mexico then return to DFW.

If it’s creepy fraud pedojoe saying this, it’s because he’s remembering an episode of the “Honeymooners”.

Not subsonic with the earth’s atmosphere anyway. Why not? I drive my truck subsonic through the atmosphere all the time.

Wouldn’t that speed be supersonic? Anything below the speed of sound(760 mph)would be subsonic. Walking along the street is subsonic. Do I have this right?

Subsonic? Joe lives in an alternate universe.
The only way we will be traveling at 12,000 to 15,000 MPH is riding a more advanced Chinese or Russian hypersonic missile. Today, they only go at Mach 6 or about 4,600 MPH.

The legendary British-French Concorde, had a much longer life-span as a commercial passenger plane. Entering service in January 1976, it had a top speed of Mach 2.04 (2,180 km/h or 1,534 MPH) at cruise altitude. It exited in 2003, having had one fatal accident three years prior when Air France flight 4590 crashed just after taking off from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
The 747 is one of the largest commercial aircraft ever built, and the 747-8 Intercontinental (747-8i) variant wins the race as the fastest commercial plane in service today. This plane is as tall as a six-story building with a top speed of Mach 0.86. That's equivalent to 659.85 mph.
Sure Biden read his teleprompter wrong. We don't have the aeronautics and metallurgy to travel 12 to 15 thousand miles an hour now or in 20 years.
