That’s what the K2 is for according to some of my readings. It pulls the calcium out of solution in the blood and binds it with the bone tissue.
I’ve been taking 6~8 thousand IUs several times a week and my blood D3 levels were last reported in the sweet spot according my doc.

I’ve been doing 2000 IU when I can wear shorts and short-sleeves, and 5,000 IU otherwise, 5x/week. My test last week was 52, so based on the recommended 60-80 I can go a bit higher.
Well...by mega I mean more than your average bear. A multi vitamin with a 50% recommended dose of D...a separate K2 + D3 capsule and a fish pill for better absorption and calcium for the same effect. So, perhaps “mega” was overstating things a bit. But I’m well above what most folks take.
