Of all the year’s political drama, the most surprising may be the U.S. government’s actions on unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAPs — better known as UFOs.
The opening act came in June, when the Pentagon and the director of national intelligence delivered an astonishing report to Congress addressing UAPs. Most of these phenomena turn out to have prosaic explanations — such as weather balloons, space debris and atmospheric effects in the sky — with a small percentage exhibiting unusual flight characteristics that suggest advanced technology.
The June report, however, found the opposite: It could account for only one of the 144 UAP sightings between 2004 and 2021 that it examined, including 80 observed with multiple sensors such as high-tech military radar and infrared cameras mounted on warplanes.

Now Congress wants answers. In November, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) authored legislation creating an office to study UAPs government-wide and report to Congress. Then the Defense Department tried to stake its claim to the issue, shortly after announcing the formation of its own UAP unit. Its team would investigate only UAPs spotted in sensitive military airspace, and it would operate without congressional supervision. Some criticized the half-measure as a preemptive ploy to avert oversight, though the Pentagon denies those claims.
But Gillibrand and a bipartisan bloc of lawmakers, including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), were not deterred.

Do angels and demons count?

My too subtle point was that they’ve been taken seriously for decades. I was a MUFON Investigator for a while.
Here’s what I smell in this article: The PTB want to gut the defense department, so they will look to declare UFOs a security threat and divert funds from defense into UFO “research” which will line pockets while accomplishing nothing.
If aliens are nearby and want to contact us, they will. If they want to destroy us without contacting us, they will. If they don’t want to be contacted, contact won’t happen.
The problem is that the government (Deep State) is a gang of pathological liars that have a history of using UFO stories to spread disinformation.

What if they just want slave labor?
“We just don’t believe they would really do it.”
Cuz we think “no way they would try that, and if they did people aren’t stupid enough to fall for it.”
Meanwhile they have been doing sociological studies for decades that tell them exactly how stupid people are and how much they will fall for.
Given what I now know about humans, if I were a technologically advanced being, I would prefer a bunch of attractive fembots as slaves.
It would have to be easier and more pleasant to be an alien slave than to work at Amazon or Walmart.

I most certainly do, especially after years of reading and conversations with actual observers.
I can only assume you jumped to your conclusion.

ETs are most likely neither.
Government studies to this date have been designed to discredit observers and diffuse interest.
Old UFO lore concludes that once a single world government is established, formal contact will be made. The story goes that ETs aren’t about to establish 300 embassies on a shit-hole planet.
There is a school of thought that holds that the “aliens” are in fact demons and if you look at what happens to those who have encountered them, it is easy to see why some would think such.
He was very pleasant to converse with, and never failed to reply. I once asked him how he copes with nobody believing him. He shrugged it off saying something like, “It has gone on so long that I just don’t care what the uninformed narrow-minded think. They’ll get caught up one day or go insane”.

There are some who believe that is how the rapture will be explained away.
Considering the timing of the release of this I formation, it makes you wonder....
Well, yeah, of course, hard to prove a negative. But what convinces me is that so many people either assume/assert there HAS to be alien life, with absolutely no evidence. Also, so many people wish so fervently for it to be true, without any real thought as to what that might mean, that it almost assuredly isn’t.
