I tried to tell her that the current variant is nothing but a cold and the booster doesn’t prevent it. I just got a dirty look. If I have to have any version of Covid this one is the one to have. Any symptoms it does have are the same as the common cold.
When I got the dirty look, I was also informed that ONE person in this country has died from it. ONE PERSON! It sucks for that person but the weak have died from simple viruses like the cold forever.
Myself and girlfriend are just getting over it. (She took the take home test and was positive.) It felt like a really bad hang over, which is what I first thought it was having been to a Christmas party the night before.
Symptoms came on by early afternoon the following day (Sunday) in the form of general body aches, chills (couldn't get warm) and a non-productive cough. (Woke up with a headache, the hangover, but it lasted TWO days.) Monday was spent on the couch. By Tuesday morning I was feeling nearly 100%. I was feeling so good by Wednesday I went for a 2-hour walk.
Sure, I would've preferred not to have felt the way I did but if I'm to "catch Covid" this was the Covid to catch.
