One of my best friends had the same experience as you did with a quadruple bypass. He was walking 2-3 blocks within 2 weeks and returned to shorter hours and light duty work after a month. He was 60 at the time and active. I had another friend have a triple two years ago and he hasn’t been the same since. He was 81 though and not as active. Age probably matters a lot. Prayers are plentiful for greeneyes.
The problem resulted from a childhood bout with Strep Throat.
Strep is not something to be trifled with. It is serious business. The same week of my procedure, the actor Bill Paxton had the same surgery. He died from it. Paxton was known for his work in a number of films including Titanic, Aliens, and a few recognizable others. I looked him up on line. Our histories were practically symmetrical.
Only he went to Hollywood and I went to Fort Dix.
I feel related to him somehow.
