There was no better table in college than an empty wooden cable spool. The best one I ever enjoyed was was one wheel of a 5’ wooden spool that was hung by chains from the ceiling.

When I got to the point my old mattress was wrecking my back I replaced the entire bed with an inflatable airbed. It has a quiet maintainer pump and if I need it firmer it takes all of 10 seconds to turn a knob.

Best sleep of my life and my back is like new every morning.
