Our son a former Marine Infantry 3x sandbox, teaches in the middle of Illinois cornfields.
He has been teaching students in his classroom all but two days through covid(bus issues).
He did contract covid, after flying to the west coast to run a marathon over spring break; no missed work.
In the smaller districts, the teachers are closer to the community, many connections that do not exist in the cities.
Greater accountability because almost everyone knows about what goes on.
The pay is noticeably less than the city.
His students invited him to a skeet shoot on a local farm!
He says being hired in Chicago is easy and the pay is good, but teaching in Chicago puts the mark of Cain on you.
Other districts do not want you.
Surely this is a variation of what contestants do on the Price is Right or Let’s Make a Deal. Dehumanizing did not come to mind for me.
Rather I saw almost no difference between their actions / appearances and how demonkkkraps behave when it comes to the working class’ taxes.
