I do wonder why they are trying to use gold as a sub surface instead of ceramic or silicon to avoid any potential interference between the Palladium and any other metal, gold in this case. I’m sure there was a reason, but the key may be having two types of material that behave differently instead of similarly. i’m sure, I like the lightbulb, there are all sorts of materials being used and tested.
