Not too tach savvy but wouldn’t her info come up when she tried to run the card.

I don't know but maybe not since the transaction wasn't completed because she withdrew the card too quickly. After an incomplete transaction, the info may be thrown into the "bit bucket", i.e., discarded and ignored.

That POS with the white border looks like Clover, Square, possibly MerchantOne. An incomplete transaction where the card had been inserted but interrupted just before finish, would be front-and-center on their transaction dashboard.

Beginning to think what is unspoken here, is that Shaniqua was trying to boost dinner with a bad card, otherwise they'd have her by now in a frogmarch headlock.

Note something else in that picture. The black co-worker woman on the right is sitting there with her hands crossed, doing nothing to help.
