I am currently studying the Russian language, and it is pretty difficult. All the above is true though, they also have no “th”, “j” or “w” sound so you have to combine certain letters. I do recommend Pimsleur for a really good pronunciation guide. Studying Russian has kept my brain very fresh!

My mom grew up in a Slavic country. Came to the US at 17. She reverses v and w...(wine/vine). She also says “this” when she means “these”.
