A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country. ~~~ Well, there's a very simple answer. ~~~ Nobody bothered to check the oil. ~~~ We just didn't know we were getting low. ~~~ The reason for that is purely geographical. ~~~ Our OIL is located in: ~~~ ALASKA ~~~ California ~~~ Coastal Florida ~~~ Coastal Louisiana ~~~ Coastal Alabama ~~~~ Coastal Mississippi ~~~~ Coastal Texas ~~~ North Dakota ~~~ Wyoming ~~~ Colorado ~~~ Kansas ~~~ Oklahoma ~~~ Pennsylvania ~~~ And Texas
~~~
Our dipstick is located in the White House!
~~~ Any Questions?
NO? Didn't think so.
I’m stealing that.
You must be a Democrat;) LOL!
Who knew we were out of oil?
Our OIL is located in: Coastal Florida ~Louisiana-Alabama ~Mississippi~Texas and in Alaska California North Dakota Wyoming Colorado Kansas Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.
but our dipstick is located in the White House!
“Peak oil” was supposed to occur sometime back in the 1970’s, and yes, we did have a pretty serious gasoline supply crunch then, during the long lines of the latter part of the Ford Administration and the Carter Administration, when there were also, coincidentally, some pretty stringent regulations being put into force. But the Middle East had PLENTY of oil, and it was considered to be “cost effective” to import a goodly portion of our petroleum. Production was largely abandoned in this country.
Until the price per barrel shot up out of sight, almost $30 a barrel or so. The response? Sharply regulate the conditions of oil drilling, transportation and refining for “safety” reasons, that went way beyond the rational.
The problem is endemic, and built into the politics of this nation. Cheap energy is the driver of prosperity, but some folks just cannot stand prosperity, preferring to introduce grief for others if there is not enough adversity in their own lives.
Only when the introduction of “fracking” made it possible to recover huge stores of both natural gas and petroleum, were the means to become self-sufficient in energy production again at hand, then the elimination of a lot of onerous and useless regulation under Trump finally made the US able to become an actual net oil exporter, thus hitting at high oil prices all over the world.
Trump had to be put out of office and all this cheap energy shut down. Who knows how much damage prosperity can cause?

Good post, I especially like the statement above.
Awesome....AND TRUE! ......copied.
Yea, too much oil pumping in the United States will result in global eco-system collapses
The have been pushing the date of Peak Oil out for decades, still not there!
I think our Earth is making oil right now. Makes it and makes it and makes it.
Trump had to be put out of office and all this cheap energy shut down.

Lol......I shudder to think.

Cheap energy is the fuel of Main Street, small business, restaurant owners, entrepreneurs, freedom-lovers.
High cost energy is the fuel of Wall Street. Keep those people masked up and confined to their homes where the digital and corporate giants can kill initiative and feed them a steady diet of screen entertainment, jabs, fake news, and brown boxes at the door.
