My Grandmother raised her Kids during the Great depression.
She use to say that the Great Depression would be a cake walk compared to what was coming.
She gave 2 reason.
Back then people knew how to work and would.
Crime rate was nothing compared to today.
That was 30 years ago. I can only imagine what she would say today.
Would love to have her skills for what is coming.
My Grandmother was similar. When I graduated with an engineering degree she said "Don't let it go to your head. The man next door to me in the depression was an engineer. He sold pencils in the street corner because there were no jobs for him" I chuckled. She was just emotionally so damaged by the depression, I thought. Boy was I wrong. She knew it could happen again. And now I think it very likely will. :-(
