He was in prison 4 months before this incident. Maybe the GF was new since then, more than likely she didn’t want to know. Which makes it partly her responsibility and therefore fault.

So the GF let’s her baby stay with a man that has a long criminal history, he been in prison 4 months before, is a meth user and then tortures her baby and she gets no blame. Too long this crap has been going on—loser women who do drugs, pick deadbeat BF criminals should start to be held accountable when they abuse or murder their defenseless children. Who they are ultimately responsible for.
Should be a relatively easy thing to investigate. “ Did you know your BF once tortured a baby boy? Yes? Ok go to jail.”
It’s all irrelevant talk as nothing will be done anyway and I know that.

Agree 100%. “The boyfriend made me do it” should always be answered with “who picked the boyfriend?”
And.
If there were 5% of the murders of children by a single mother’s boyfriend done instead by a single father’s girlfriend, single father custody would be illegal.
The most dangerous place in America for a child is living with a single mother who has a boyfriend. You could look it up.
If she truly was aware, I agree. However, when she saw the video of her daughter on his phone, she immediately called the police. So, the likelihood that she was aware of his previous actions becomes rather slim.
But, there have already been many cases where the mother was aware of the boyfriend's/husband's actions, and the mother was also charged.
You act like the mother never gets charged, but that is certainly not the case.
There was no indication in the article that automatically makes me believe she is a bad mother. A stupid, or perhaps desperate mother may be the real culprit here.
She will remember, but not cinematically as an older child would. It will be a lasting trauma because she was too young to form words, communicate with a helper and receive talking therapy.
I always thought my earliest memories were from age 3, but one day I asked my mother about a non-traumatic, dream-like memory I had of lying in a crib, and I described the wallpaper. She said it was the nursery at the church they attended briefly when I was an infant.
I have about five memories of the first house I lived in. Since we moved into the second house on my 3rd birthday, I know those memories are from when I was two years old.
