What a super comedy and way to salute the radio, vaudeville and film comedians (leads and character actors) who were alive at that time. (And Edie Adams looked “delish” in the hardware store scene!)

I got out of my seat, stood in the aisle at the theater, and nearly pissed my pants laughing when Jonathan Winters totally destroyed that gas station with Arnold Stang and Marvin Kaplan being totally helpless. My favorite part of the movie.

I will never forget first time I saw that movie. I was about 13 and it was a few years after it was released. Dad was stationed at an Army Hospital in Germany and MMMMW played in the Hospital theater. There was a young troop who was laughing so hard he broke some stitches and had to be taken down to the ER!

One of my favorite movies growing up!

I was scrolling through the onscreen guide late one night and it was on!!! It only had about 10 minutes left and I was so upset I missed i!

“I’m Captain Culpepper of the Santa Rosita Police Department!”

Still the funniest movie ever made.

I saw that on the wide screen at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood in 1964. That was an unforgettable experience.

(And Edie Adams looked “delish” in the hardware store scene!)

At my age of 75, seeing this she still puts lead in my pencil! Think what she did when I was 16!

And Dick Shawn and Jimmy Durante were at their best. There were great cameos from Jack Benny, Jerry Lewis, the Three Stooges, Buster Keaton, and more.
