I thought that Joe was an insufferable asshat back in the 1980s when I saw him during the Bork hearings and when he ran for president in 1988. My opinion didn’t change during the Thomas hearings. Joe has been a narcissistic jackass his whole life, and he has only become moreso over time. This current “tick” where his whispers into the microphone is creepy as hell.
