Burger King's iconic Whopper sandwich is celebrating a big birthday this weekend, but customers are the ones getting a gift.
In celebration of 64 years of the Whopper, the fast food giant is rolling back prices to 1957 and selling its signature sandwich for its original price of just 37 cents.
That's right. Whopper lovers can get that same flame-grilled beef patty with mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and sliced onion on a sesame seed bun for practically pennies.
The special promotion will be running in Burger King restaurants nationwide on Friday and Saturday (Dec. 3 and Dec. 4), to Burger King Royal Perks members.

Wendy makes good chili too!
To sign up for the “Royal Perks” all they require is a first name and an email address.
There’s usually something “good” on the app, like $1 large fries, $1 or $2 Whopper, free shake, etc.
I would suggest if you don’t like their food the best option for you would be to not go there.
I never watch ads of any kind so I don’t know anything about that.
We didn’t have any of those fancy burger chains where I grew up.
Dad would load the family into the camper on his 53 Chevy and take us all down to the Cow Corner and buy 10 for a dollar burgers.
Then we’d take them in the camper and add fixings to turn them into a Deluxe. Those were 25 cents and too pricey for us.
Ditto!
Char man... Char. Burger got to have char. lol
Yeah I quit BK over their Gayburgers.
Yep.
There’s a BK in front of my local Home Depot that I hit up whenever Mama has a honey do list. Last time there I got a whopper and when I opened it, it was beautiful, just like in the pictures. I couldn’t believe it and took a pic to show my wife. That Whopper tasted the best. Why is it so hard for most employees to put the meat and cheese straight on the bun and not turn your fries upside down in the bag. At least that once it was perfect and I’ve been eating BK for over 45 years, rarely does it happen to get a nice looking order.
Sounds like my family. :)
True but wasn’t hourly wage like two bucks an hour?
I worked at McDonald’s the day they did 15¢ hamburger day.
It was an absolute madhouse. ALL. DAY. LONG.
I hope they are ready for this.
Maybe. I remember my first job ever, about that time, was 1.65 an hour. I swept floors at a W.T. Grants department store.
The media sells us Whoppers every day. I’m tired of Whoppers.
Just means that they are admitting that their burgers contain just 37% beef...
everyday is lie after lie.
I hear you. It’s been years since I’ve had a good one. Not decades in my case, but definitely years.
I envy you for having what sounds like an exemplary Burger King nearby. Nothing like the slightly messy combo of mayonnaise, tomato, and chargrilled flavor in a good Whopper.
