Burger King's iconic Whopper sandwich is celebrating a big birthday this weekend, but customers are the ones getting a gift.

In celebration of 64 years of the Whopper, the fast food giant is rolling back prices to 1957 and selling its signature sandwich for its original price of just 37 cents.

That's right. Whopper lovers can get that same flame-grilled beef patty with mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and sliced onion on a sesame seed bun for practically pennies.

The special promotion will be running in Burger King restaurants nationwide on Friday and Saturday (Dec. 3 and Dec. 4), to Burger King Royal Perks members.

37 cents is 37 cents too much for that trash. Burger King is disgusting.

Aw bummer, so we have to get chipped to get the good price?

The thing about Whoppers is that if they’re made right, they’re really good. The problem is finding a Burger King that isn’t a hellhole with demoralized workers where they might actually make one right.

I remember in the early 70’s I could get a hamburger, fries and coke at the local Burger Chef for less than a buck.

It would be somewhat acceptable as long as they had full disclosure in large print:

“We will be providing your personal data to the NSA, thirty seven “friendly” intelligence agencies around the world, organized crime, and anyone who can hack into our data from within or outside our organization. Enjoy the meal!”

“frankly I find it to be one of the few edible FF burgers.”

I do too, being flame broiled the char makes it a little better. The rest cooked on a flat grill taste like cardboard.

It’s not so much that these huge corporations are woke but that the ad agencies that develop their multi-million-dollar marketing campaigns are. They bully and cajole execs into going woke, saying it’s something they simply must do if they wish to remain major players in the marketplace, it’s what your customers expect. The execs foolishly believe it . . . until the consumer backlash.

They are PROBABLY the most aggressive coupon deliverer in the L.A. area, and their prices are ridiculously low on the coupon flyers.

Been to Taco Bell, McD’s, In N Out and the most basic combo runs you $10. 3 weeks ago Taco Bell still had the “cantina box” for $5 with soda with 3 bog burritos and last Saturday its gone , and replaced with $9.99. BK have the coupons at an insane $4 for full meals.

If there are good ones around these days, I’d love to know where. The last good Whopper I recall having was as a child in the 90s. And I can’t be certain that wasn’t just a case of a child’s palate. Every experience since the employees were terrible and the food almost inedible.

Exactly right. Transparency.

What gets me are rewards programs that never actually save you any money at all. So you get absolutely nothing for that information you shared. But... Folks fall for it all day long.

Most sheeple think “I am not doing anything wrong—so who cares who has my personal data”.

There are several obvious problems with that justification—potential identity theft by bad actors is just one of them.
