I am asking for prayers today for hubby. I have been in the emergency room all day today. He is stable, but is going to likely undergo emergency surgery.
It took forever to get him a room - shortages every where in St. Louis - hospitals are not accepting patients. ER nurse said it was nursing shortages. The ambulance is transferring him now.
The ER Doc was quite insistent that we should both get the jab. Made me wonder if he was going to get a bonus or something. Anyway, I just came home to ask for prayers and pack a bag, and head off to St. Louis-no one knows what rules they are going by - each hospital is different.
Our Local ER only allows one visitor with the patient. And if you leave, you are not allowed back in. They did bring me some nearly cold soup, crackers and tea. I wasn’t doing so well either, but My daughter was able to bring my meds to me, so she brought me some Mcdonalds. And am feeling better after I got my meds.
Anyway, please pray for my hubby he’s 80 and there’s bound to be all sorts of crap circulating at the hospital on top of the surgery. TIA
Prayers for a successful surgery, healing and recovery.
God bless your husband - AND you! May the Lord guide their hands, their minds and their hearts! ✝️ ⚕️

FREEPERS are the best people - I am so grateful for all the prayers-the response was so plentiful-I am humbled and grateful.
Hubby’s condition is related to one of those abdominal mesh things - it can cause trouble. Fortunately, the IV fluids, NG tube and no food or liquids to rest the digestive system allowed the blockage to clear.
So he was discharged with no need for surgery at this point. He does have to take it easy - no lifting anything heavier than 10 lbs for 2 weeks and follow up with a surgeon later to discuss - mostly to make sure that we have a reliable one lined up in case it is needed down the road.
The best surgeon to do it was out of town, and the one on call in that office said it would be better for the expert to do it.
He has already had 4 abdominal surgeries - and at his age both the Dr. and Me and Hubby all agree that we don’t want it if it can be avoided - to take out that mesh would be a long and hard surgery and really long recovery period as the incision would be quite large.
Thank you all for your prayers. I am certain it made all the difference in helping him through and resolution without surgery.
