I’m a vaccinated, white Conservative evangelical who did not “cave to the media.”

I caved to the requirements of other nations, because I want to travel internationally (and to Hawaii). I’m a practical person. I got vaxxed not for health reasons (although I am over 50, so hopefully I got some protection for a few months anyway) but for travel reasons.

It’s the government(s) who caved to the media (and/or vice versa).

I don’t have a problem with people getting the vaccine. I encourage it for persons with multiple comorbidities who won’t take the preventative and treatment steps needed.

My mother and many others near to me have gotten the vaccine, but, as with you, it was most often due to “practical” considerations, rather than mind-numbing media messages and similar manipulations, like this study tried.
