So why do they recommend that old folks take it?
It is!
Till it’s not.
Then they blame something else for the problem.
“Predisposing factors included smoking, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.”
LOLOL! They missed kale! LOLOL!
Ambulance-chasers of the world, unite.
This is my thinking too. The first paragraph reads, "Aspirin is associated with heart failure" ---Correlation is not causation--- Who is most likely taking aspirin daily? People who have been told they have bad tickers.
From that list, I’m guessing she has one problem...she’s fat.
Most of us here can remember when:
Eggs good, eggs fatal, eggs not bad, eggs good.
Cranberries great, cranberries cause cancer, cranberries good.
All butter and fats, several times, up and down.
Carbs good, ok, poison, great, good.
Meat good, causes cancer, great, bad.
On and on. So, it’s aspirin’s turn.
Normally I tell folks to do the opposite of what the “experts” recommend.
That will not work in this case since the opposite is what they used to recommend!
“Yup. I’ve taken 81mg (a baby aspirin) of aspirin a day for over 20 tears. I’m 78 and doing alright. I will continue taking my aspirin, daily.
I’m 83 and have been taking a Baby Aspirin per day since I turned 70.
About 3 years ago, my good cardio doc told me to go off the aspirin. However, the chief stent guy said “no” and to continue to take the baby aspirin the rest of my life.
So, I’m still taking my baby aspirin each evening before bedtime.
I’ve been on 81mg coated aspirin for 4yrs, at my 2 Cardiologists’ orders, and no adverse effects so far.
a few years ago a report showed that the blood thinning effect was reduced if used continuously as apposed to taking it when an attack occurs.
So for years they have been saying it is good for the heart. Now suddenly it is not. The only thing that proves is that one way or the other they don’t know what they are talking about.
"Aspirin is linked with increased risk of heart failure"
... and everything gives you cancer.
Wasn’t there a saying “an aspirin a day keeps the doctor away?
Apparently.🙄
81mg aspirin daily at bedtime - doctor’s orders
