Wonder if the lawyer will use this verdict in his TV ads- “Don’t scream call Akim dial all 2s now I got a woman $10,000,000 for stepping on a nail at Walmart.”

Problem is, what are the “actual damages” of losing a leg? I imagine you are talking about a significant portion of lost wages for the rest of your life, at a minimum.
