Longtime friend and producer James Golden also spoke to current events, and how Rush Limbaugh impacted the media landscape forever
Late conservative icon Rush Limbaugh's longtime friend and producer James Golden – known best to listeners as call screener "Bo Snerdley" – remembered the legacy of Limbaugh and shared how the host changed the media landscape forever.
As he wrote in his new book "Rush on the Radio," Golden told of how he and Limbaugh crossed paths in New York City prior to their lasting friendship and work together.

He taught me more than anyone else ever He died on my birthday
He said the things I had thought and said, and he had a sense of humor that merged everything together so very well. I really enjoyed his “Tax the Poor” day (I remember where I was driving while listening). Of course, Shanklin’s parodies were always top-notch.
I miss it all.
Rush made mistake by being pro GWB.
Boy, do I ever miss El Rushbo in these days. He could have guided us with steady thought and humor during the wuhan flu.
Given the "alternative" and also GWB's tenure during the 9-11 times, it is understandable, to me. As Ronald Reagan once said, it is better to have half a loaf of bread than none at all.
He was one of my best friends and the only one I never met. His brilliance was on many levels. But how he used humor to expose the lunacy of the left was a rare gift. No one on talk radio can match that. Maybe Greg Gurfeld comes close.
I think I literally laughed out loud every time Rush would say my favorite of his Rush-isms: “Let me explain what the caller is talking about if you missed the discussions in the first hour because you’re just now waking up because you’re on welfare...” LOL
Miss Rush. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to listen to Mannheim Steamroller’s version of Silent Night without totally losing it!

I’m still grieving him...just that I frequently want to know what he would say about an event. That’s when I miss him
Sad to say, I made that mistake too, in the year 2000. Worst vote of my life.
Okay, I’m an idiot. I had no idea that Bo Snerdley’s name wasn’t Bo Snerdley.
So, you would have preferred Al Gore?
That racist, Rush, sure had a lot of black friends..
Oh….. Al Gote and Kerry would have been better?
What is never mentioned is the fund raisers he held for Leukemia, the monies he personally donated to the victims of the Joplin Missouri tornado.......The list goes on and on.
But what is most noteworthy is there was very little coverage of his philanthropy but rather just the opposite. Twisting his good will into something personal to promote himself.
I will never forget how the MSM ignored the signed letter of condemnation the Democrat members of the US Senate sent to Rush. In direct response, Rush put it up for auction on Ebay where the winning bid was $2.1 million dollars. Rush matched the winning bid and it was all donated to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation Inc.
This article brought tears once again....
Why does he pass on and the evil ones continue to survive.....
The two clowns who have the franchise are terrible. Should have been Mark Styne.
Rush almost always knew his subjects exceptionally well.
But what I liked most was his quick wit and sense of humor.
We miss Rush a lot.
That’s quite a distinction.
Rush was a Capricorn. I am as well.
I remember the split second he came on my radio.
I was never without him daily from that point on.
