It is by design. MSM will only hire the compliant sheep who are willing to mindlessly parrot the establishment viewpoints. Applicants know this so they go out of their way to establish their leftist bona fides and show how malleable they are to their masters.

A free-thinker with conservative viewpoints has no chance, even with a 4.0 grade average from a good school.

IIRC, the word “press” is only mentioned ONE TIME in the US Constitution. I believe the founders thought the inclusion of “press” and its relatively new technology was an accommodation to the thought that commonly held thoughts and ideas could be distributed more easily, so its voice should also be protected as with speech.

It turns out that the technology outstripped the intellect and found refuge in the evil hearts of those who use would [mis]information to control AND to effectively abuse the Constitution and the original founders’ goals and negate it wherever they desire.

To my mind, if they want to hold guns to the “musket standard,” I say that we hold the press to the “Franklin Standard.”
