Those who do, never lived under it.
It’s being enforced upon us by the DNC and a small
cabal of the GOP.
But it’s not just the US - this is happening across all of Christendom and Canada and Australia are far worse.
Well hello...we are already a socialist country. The government now controls, taxes, regulates, monitors, or otherwise influences virtually everything in our lives. In this country the power of the state is pervasive. If that isn’t socialism I don’t know what is.
It’s being enforced upon us by the DNC and a small
cabal of the GOP.

Make no mistake, the GOP is quite happy to do its part to advance socialism. They don’t shrink the government, they don’t curtail spending, and our liberties steadily decrease even under their watch.
And its not just a small cabal in the GOP either. That cabal wouldn’t exist without a majority of the party enabling them.
You often hear from them questioning as to why democrats are permitted to breathe... They wouldn't have, in the Old Regime.
I think Chernenko used to crap himself too.
I have friends, all US Citizens who migrated from; Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and East Germany many years ago. They have been saying exactly what this guy states for some time. It’s scary to listen to their stories and how they relate to what is occurring here now. It’s sad that we have a generation of the ignorant who refuse to think on their own or listen to other actual experiences. This is our fault for letting the left take over the schools.

The Left turned them into indoctrination centers.
The Left pushes forward because its senses little to no resistance.
We elect wimps and wonder why the country is deteriorating.
Means of production still belong to the individual(s). Private property isn’t forbidden, land can be purchased and inherited, so technically, we are not a socialist/communist party as former Soviet Union or modern Cuba. Even Russia and China aren’t socialist countries anymore, they are just oligarchies with mixed economies.

If we had kept our eyes open years ago and been involved in the school board elections, we probably could have nipped it in the bud. But instead we just assumed that everything was fine and we could afford to ignore it.
I did some work for a guy from Belarus this past summer. We are about the same age and he is a cool dude. I run into him now and again at the grocery store.
When he told me about having to get up at 3 a.m. to get in line for bread and milk, I was floored. He is not a drinker, but said vodka was available everywhere. Floored again.
Your points are well taken.
However I think a case can be made that we are somewhat of a de facto socialist country in the respect that government at all levels exerts substantial influence, if not outright control, on our economic lives.
Even though the government does not directly own the major factors of production it does significantly influence them through taxation, regulation, subsidies, political policy, and other indirect methods of control. The point being you don’t have to own something to control it; you can do it by other means.
Another point to consider is the enormous power of the Federal Reserve, yet another means of controlling economic activity.
While we still can own property and invest in companies so can the people in most socialist countries. Just saying.
