Will both members of Cincinnati’s fanbase tune in to watch them play?
Maybe but IMHO, it’s good for college football to give the “little guy” a shot. I don’t think they can hang, but, you have to play the game.
The truth is that it doesn’t matter where Bama is ranked in this poll, it’s the next one that counts. If they win the next game they will be #1, if they lose they are most likely >#5 (unless they lose by less than 7 with a 2nd and 26 play).
However, IMHO the Tide has yet to play their best game of the year, I hope they saved it for next Saturday because the Bulldogs look really good and owe Bama big time.
I disagree about Alabama/Georgia coming up though. I think the Tide win that one.
I honestly think Georgia is untouchable this year.
Actually Cinci played Notre Dame (another team under playoff consideration) and won convincingly.
Just glad those Big XII traitors (OU and UT) are NEITHER one playing in the conference championship after thinking they’re just too damn good for it.
Hoping OSU beats Baylor and backs into the playoffs with only one loss.
Well, if Georgia beats Bama and OSU wins, I’d put them in myself as the Nr. 4.
Auburn played the fourth quarter with a QB with only one working foot. They left Bama with too much time for the last regular time drive (player went out of bounds and stopped the clock).
How can you put Notre Dame above Oklahoma State? And if Bama loses to Georgia next week (which I certainly hope they do) is Bama out? With two losses they should be.
Auburn held Alabama to 10 points through four quarters. And the Georgia defense is the best in the country.
I’m rooting for Cincinnati because I hold one unit from there.
I’m a bearcat graduate. They puzzle me. Last year in the Peach Bowl Georgia beat Cincinnati in the final seconds with a field goal. It was something like 24-21.
This year, since only the freshman class would have been added, these are largely the same teams. Yet, Cincinnati gets no respect. You’d think that head to head meeting would at least make people wonder.
So, I have my criticisms as well. The bearcats have had to struggle against some of their conference rivals. Georgia hasn’t struggled at all. Either the AAC is stronger than others think, or Cincy is inclined to lapses. I’m thinking it’s a combination.
The sad thing will be having the cfp folks vote to keep them out. That would settle nothing.
Loved that game, Michigan played better than they have in the past few years......
I attended Cincy my freshman year then moved to Hollywood and spent time at UCLA. After 5 years, I returned to OH and completed my BS/MBA.
My older brother earned his BS at Cincy and later returned w/PhD to become a department chair.
So definitely rooting for Cincy to win a payoff game!
If Georgia, Michigan, Cincinnati, and Oklahoma State win next week, they should be the top 4.
Send a message to the Golden Domers that they need to be in a conference championship...
Because ND has one loss, to top #4 Cincinnati. The team that needs to be out of the discussion, is Alabama. They have one loss to a 4 loss Texas A&M that just lost to unranked LSU and had to go to 4 OTs to beat an unranked Auburn by two. But they won’t be, because of the SEC bias.
Agreed.
Well the poor Auburn qb could barely walk by the end of the game, so they did their best.
Cincy...tremendous accomplishment.
Consider how you’re recruiting talent vs all the Big 10 schools.
Auburn quarterback threw a heck of a throw for the TD in the first OT.
He could barely walk and did it .
