One email told students they 'must' recognize that Thanksgiving is a day of mourning for many community members
The George Washington University Student Association sent an email to students on Monday stating that "Thanksgiving day is a reminder of the genocide of millions of Native people."
The email was sent as part of a weekly newsletter from the student association...
...The alumni associations of the University of Maryland, Florida Gulf Coast University, Washington State University, Hiram College in Ohio and California State University, Long Beach participated in an event asking whether Americans should "reconsider" the Thanksgiving holiday...
D.C. SCHOOL BOARD CHANCELLOR URGES FAMILIES TO 'DECOLONIZE' THANKSGIVING

Sounds like sour grapes.
They should just go live elsewhere
Leave the country and go live with those of like mind and live unhappily ever after
what a miserable life these people must leas
University of Maryland, Florida Gulf Coast University, Washington State University, Hiram College in Ohio and California State University, Long Beach are the White equivalent of Spelman College, Howard University, Xavier University of Louisiana, Hampton University, Morehouse College, Tuskegee University.
I have a suggestion for ALL whiny ass Liberal hand wringers .
Do the world a favor . Just eliminate yourselves . We won’t miss you.
Corn
..they call it maize.
That’s all we really can do is ignore them and continue to celebrate a day of Thanksgiving, family, and joy.
Colonists won, native Americans lost.
Get over it.
They have casinos.
They could of been exterminated if white colonists had wanted to.
I put gravy on my genocide this year

Alex, what are schools all residing on stolen land?
Maybe it should be Mandatory for all College Students to spend 90 days in a Utopian Paradise of equity like Venezuela or North Korea before being admitted
Morons teaching people to be morons themselves.
Thanksgiving has nothing to do with that topic one way or the other.
Some people in the native tribes have standing in their complaints of their heritage lands, way of life, and racism towards tribal peoples. Not all feel that way but I respect their view but I pity that view also. I used to get mad when I hear the family losses from the battle of Culloden of the men, money and land put up to back the Jacobins and Prince Charles.
My family also lost land in PA and my ancestors married in the native tribes in the 1500’s and when coal was found lost all the rights due to unscrupulous pols in Harrisonburg. BTW I don’t play the Sen. Warren game
The rest of the college and so-called educated set complain to be relevantly and edgy to get jobs, attend the right parties and get grant money. Now all this crap is to try get some legal standing to get compensation and let some non-native SJWs fell good.
You can’t change the past but you can move forward. Wallowing In negative emotions sucks, and I built up enough to know, but edgy topics and emotions pays the bills.
As for my relatives who lost the ancestral lands in Scotland, they did their best to survive, and have been buying back the lands for 250 years and have prospered.
We are not taught that the Tribes all got along well with each other, doing the “Happy dance” and living in harmony until the White Man arrived.
How the tribes REALLY treated each other before the white man came...from my short list.
