Actually wild turkeys fly all around the place.

I had some Kentucky Bourbons for a while and those guys could fly with the best of the wild ones, right over the house, roosting in the trees, on my tractors, truck, and anywhere else off the ground at sundown. Naturally, they defecated every minute or so so you can imagine the mess. I had to finally pen them up or they would waltz over to the neighbor’s yard and do the same thing. I saw them on the neighbor’s house roof one evening at sundown.
We live in such a processed, homogenized, packaged world. I mean the turkeys we buy probably have a hard time standing up. Probably a whole bunch of folks don’t know any thing about flying wild turkeys, as the headline suggests.
