That one the other day, I spent some time wondering why John Kerry would say that.

I’m late getting here today. We had family Thanksgiving festivities yesterday due to everyone’s schedules, and I was so tired I slept late this morning. This was an easy one, no clues needed. The words just fell into place. Even the letters for author’s first name appeared from guessing other words. And his first name was obvious because of the apostrophe near start and the double at the end.
BTW… I always thought the 4th and 5th words should be ONE word.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Regarding my clue in 24, coincidently I think Alec Baldwin is looking for one of those as we speak...

See post 20. I thought given your clue it would have been almost too obvious.

The author was always looking for one of those because he was steeped in a firm belief that the only possible atonement for sin was ‘works’’.

Double letters at the End of a word is almost always “L ” or “S” and occasionally “E”.

Do you know something I haven’t heard that entire song for many years and I recall now the end of the line is the word toes but I don’t recall until you just told me that it was elephant. See once again Magnum44 has the best clues.
Except today makes no sense.

Today’s clue is from the movie Beetlejuice. If you don’t recognize him, that’s Baldwin in the character role...
Please tell me it’s self explanatory after that.
