It made good bows too, hence Bodarc wood.

It was easier to plant O.Orange trees to use as your fence posts than to quarry a bunch of limestone fenceposts out of the ground. I can look out my front door and see a line of trees that marked someones quarter section from before the suburban sprawl flowed over this county.

There is a belief, or rumor, that the OO seed balls repel spiders. My aunt, knowing that I don’t like spiders, brought a grocery sack full of them to me from Iowa.

I placed them all around my little basement apartment. Didn’t notice any reduction in spiders at all. lol

Dried OO seed balls might be fun to splatter with a baseball bat though.
