Yes,chips should be made in this country...lots of chips...of every possible variety. Yes,they might cost more than if they were made in China. But then I’d be willing to pay more,just as I’d be willing to pay more for lettuce that was picked by Americans rather than by wetback Mexicans and Guatemalans.

The end user/consumer will not see any appreciable difference in price. A truck/car with chip sets made in the USA may cost $10.00 more per vehicle - Suggested Retail Price (SRP). But how much does that increase cost the buyer? If financed over 6 years at 5% that is costing you: $10.50/72 = $0.15 per month.
That is 15 cents per month. Would you even care?...

They were made here before they sent it all to China. They were priced right and the foundries were making good money. They just wanted to squeeze for more profit, even though they already had a monopoly.
