Angels Over Amereica

Posted on 11/22/2021 7:30:24 AM PST by Mrs. Warrior

Angels Over America.

When my mother was divorcing my father she was moving on to another marriage. Her five children were in her way and once when we came home from school during a New England winter we found ourselves locked out of the house and our mother was nowhere to be found. As it got dark we were so cold and alone. I held my baby brother to my chest to keep him warm but he was not moving. I looked up to the night sky and thought of how in the old church with the tall steeple every time they gave an alter call I would go up just in case this being saved thing the adults talked about needed to be done every Sunday and I prayed a child's prayer to be saved from freezing to death. I made a snow angel in the snow and gave my brother a kiss and my tears fell on his face. I wept over him crying “you can't leave me, I don't know how I will live without you needing me to be your mother” even though I was only six at the time.

Car lights shone on us and I heard a woman's voice telling me to give the baby to her. I thought she was an angel of death. “You can't have him, he is mine, I need to take him home an get him warmed up”. The woman said “all of you come home with me”. She took us to her home and she said I heard a noise and came over to check on it. But we were not making any noise. An Angel came to rescue us; my prayer to be saved was heard. The fear of being abandoned and left in the cold, being not wanted in a family gave me a hopeless and alone feeling. Thankfully we all survived the incident.

But God picked me up out of that. He brought my husband ,children and grand-children and other good gifts to me.

Now, as I sit in front of the fire warm, secure in belonging to my own loving family and to my Heavenly Father who saves, I watch the NEWS and I see groups that want and lust after power at seemingly any cost. I am reminded of how the Bible describes the reasons of why wars and famines and pestilence and violence occurs.

Those who do these inhumane things, who are trying to break up the family of Americans (who are the most tough but tender people), forget is that the Guardian Angels of those who are children of God by faith in His Son Jesus in homes nestled in the valleys and mountains, are before the face of God pleading for them, defending their place and right to life.

All thrones, dominions and powers are put under God's feet.

As Mary traveled, carrying the Son of God in her womb, she was rejected by her family because she was unwed. Angels came and protected the Baby from Herod. Jesus came to seek and to save those who were lost; to gather from the cold of a dark plan of evil and to bring them home to a Father who takes the painful past remembrances of not belonging and speaks to their hearts; touching them with warmth and love, telling us we are His beloved.

All the Angels watching over the American children of God are planning how to protect us during the holidays; to bring the families on the roads safely back home to loving embraces and words of welcome!

Come, sit in front of the fire, be warmed and know you are beloved!

Praise God for His Angels that are all over America!

Thanks for posting... reminds me of the many times in my life that things have changed directions at times and in ways that were totally critical. And there is no explanation other than ‘God sent an angel’....

OK. What about the rest of the story? What became of your mother? Did you forgive and reconcile? The story sounds a bit too simplistic. Most abandoned and abused children, especially in this nihilistic age of abortion, decadence and drugs, don’t have happy outcomes.

Amazing!

Here’s a great audio version of all the Psalms; God is so good!

Did she take her “baby brother” to school for show and tell? This story makes no sense.

God blessed me with a wonderful, God-fearing, Christ-loving mother, father, and huge extended families on both sides. We didn’t always have a lot of things, but we had an abundance of love from many, even our church family.

Your experience shows Father God, His only Son Jesus and The Holy Spirit were inside your spirit and soul! Yes, you had angels taking care of you and trusted them to be your messenger for every need! What an early blessing for you, despite whatever was lacking in parenting. Jesus wants ALL children to come to him no matter our age, but come as a child with wanting a loving heart for Him!

I, too, do not understand pure evil that takes place. But why would 1/3 of the angels follow Lucifer?!!! They have chosen their ‘lord’ and he is Satan so they are hard hearted.

As you have seen, John 10:10-11 (my verse that came to me this morning) is for those with hearts for Jesus Christ!!
Blessings in Christ, YGTG.

Amen. What a beautiful testimony.

Thank you for sharing.

Last week one of my Verse of the Day reflections was from Psalm 37. It is good to be reminded of the extent His goodness during the times in which we live

Most don’t believe in Jesus Christ or angels watching and caring over them....

Incredibly, some beautiful Christians who I know, were unloved by their parents and abandoned by one of them. At two years old they KNEW of Jesus’ love and care for them.

Seems to make sense to other commenters. Makes sense to me, FWIW. Maybe another cup of coffee would help?

Beautiful story, thanks for sharing. Most of us Christians often forget that we all have guardian angels who, in conformity with God's wise and merciful will, are ready, willing, and able to help us if we reach out for divine help in times of trouble.

One minor quibble, if I may:

As Mary traveled, carrying the Son of God in her womb, she was rejected by her family because she was unwed.

From the Bible account, we know that Mary was not unwed, but rather betrothed which in the custom of the time meant a couple was legally married, but not yet come together. There was often about a year interval between these times so that the husband could prepare a suitable home for his bride at which time the wedding feast would take place and they would both start living in the same home. Some indications of this are the times in Luke and Matthew where Mary was already referred to as Joseph's wife before they came together.

Also, we never are really told in the Bible that Mary's family rejected her. For sure there may have been a great deal of consternation in the family and possibly scandal among the neighbors, but we aren't told they rejected her. They really aren't mentioned at all except in early Christian tradition.

Again, thanks for your posts. I always read and enjoy them, even if I don't often comment on them. God bless you, and may God's holy angels watch over you today and always.

Let those who have ears hear. Blindness of the spirit plagues the fearful and angry. We are called to both be at peace and to stand against the enemy.
The peace of God is our strength. We will be strong in the face of the terrible winds of destruction that blow against us.
Let the angry rail against the darkness. Let the fearful try to beat us into submission. We will not surrender.

If you are allowed to ask your earthly brothers & sisters to pray for you, surely your angel who looks upon the face of God can receive prayer requests.

Angel of God, my Guardian Dear,
to whom God's love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard,
to rule and guide.

Indeed, as I edited for my wife I thought of inserting “fully wed” as we are aware of the cultural custom of that day.
As far as rejection by family, there are evidences inferred as Joseph’s family lived in Bethlehem but yet no guest rooms were available in their homes as was custom nor at the “Donkey BNBs”.
Thanks for the insight.
