Definitely Peter Seller’s ‘Pink Panther’ movies should be recognized, hilarious!

Bowfinger should be on the list instead of Borat. It is one of Eddie Murphy’s funniest movies, and it makes fun of Hollywood and Scientology.

I was actually in pain from laughing when they had the dog walking in the high heels.

Yeah, they don’t have a single Mel Brooks movie! The Producers is also hilarious. Hubby and I always say: that’s our Hitler, when we find what we need. The original The Producers, not the remake. Also, I love "High Anxiety"......."That boy gets no tip!"

Also one of my personal favorites, “One, Two, Three”, with James Cagney.

In the category of clean humor - I vote for “Sons Of The Desert” with Laurel and Hardy.

Very much so.
The one with Christopher Plummer as Sir Charles Phantom, the notorious Litton.

I laughed so hard during that scene I couldn’t breathe, and also during the big chase sequence near the end starting with Christine Baranski confronting Kit on the patio of the restaurant.

Liked all of these other than the Hangover and Bridesmaids.
While maybe not wall to wall laughs and gags like Airplane, I have to say my favorite film comedies are Trading Places and The Producers - “Nobody ever said a bad word about Winston Churchill, did they? No! "Win with Winnie!" Churchill! With his cigars. With his brandy. And his rotten painting, rotten! Hitler, there was a painter. He could paint an entire apartment in one afternoon! Two coats!“

The more politically incorrect that scene gets, the funnier it gets.

That’s good! And in the Clash of the Titans remake, when Liam Neeson (Zues) is about to utter the big line, I’ll say, “I WEEWEASE...THE QUACKEN!”

I've also been discovering some of the Charlie Chaplin silent films on YouTube (an incredible resource of historical video). In my nearly 60 years on this planet, I have never seen a Charlie Chaplin film until recently!
While made mostly in the 1910s and 1920s, they are of surprisingly good quality and you can definitely see how the Marx Brothers and Three Stooges were influenced by them.
