A sign I would say.

The sign fell when a worker was on a ladder checking bolts.

I guess the bolts did need checking...

“Guardians.” Stupidest nickname in sports.

Because the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame is there, there was a lot of support for the “Cleveland Rocks,” with their mascot a guy in a cool rock suit.

But no. They went with ridiculously boring.

I guess Cleveland doesn’t rock anymore.

So what was the sign supposed to look like before it fell down?

""Well, that's an ominous sign," one person yelled."

I see what he did there. Must be a dad.

I always thought they should've picked the name "Cleveland Nappies" for two reasons:

  1. Historical-- harks back more than a century when it was named the Naps for Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie.
  2. Modern -- points to the present day when the red doper diaper babies have enforced political correctness.

What more could you want than a twofer?

That sure is an ominous sign. Also a fallen sign.

Not surprising they had lots of people lined up waiting for the store’s grand opening. But how many of them were sports memorabilia collectors speculating the possible, perhaps probable fail the name change may turn out to be, and that such paraphernalia may have value in the future as historical oddities?

Liberals absolutely abhor minorities, such as Indians.

They are only comfortable with different races, cultures, ethnicities etc...if they consider themselves guardians of those whom they consider inferior, who need their guardianship.

MLB just had the lowest rated World Series for a TV audience since they started measuring it back around 1970. Actually, last year's World Series was the lowest, but given their shortened season to 60 games and all of the COVID cr@p, that doesn't seem surprising. MLB has a problem going forward. Going woke won't fix it. The game sucks.

MLB Hall of Fame manager Whitey Herzog stated in an interview recently that for a typical 9-inning game with 54 total outs in 2021, 22 of those outs are by strikeout (40%), along with 10 walks. So, the results of 32 plate appearances (PAs) each 9-innings of baseball come from not hitting the ball into play, which out of roughly 76 PAs each 9-innings is 42%

In 1993, which was prior to the 1994 strike season (no World Series) and subsequent steroid era, a full 9-inning game averaged about 11 strikeouts, 7 walks, and 78 PAs. So, strikeouts have doubled since 1993, and 23% of PAs come from not hitting the ball into play vs. 42% today.
